The National Radon Network Society (RADNET), a non-governmental organization (NGO) of radiation scientists working in the field of ionizing radiation in India, was registered in 2015 under the act 21, 1860. The main aim of the society is to bring awareness about sources of natural and man-made radiation in the general public. The society is also focused on promoting the recent advances in the field of environmental radioactivity with particular emphasis on radon, thoron and their progeny in air, water and soil.
